Puxi Campus Grade 1: Sharing Kindness

We have officially begun the second semester of First Grade, and we are super excited to have our students back in the classroom! They were excited to show us the hard work they have been putting into their winter homework. Their project was based on the book “The Giving Tree” by Shel Silverstein. This book teaches us to be kind to others, and we wanted our students to demonstrate how kind they can be at home. Each student decorated their apple with ways to show kindness, which they took home with them over the break. Each time the students completed an act of kindness, they recorded it in their book and took a picture with their apple. Our students learned the importance of showing kindness and how it makes others feel. It was so wonderful to hear all about how kind and caring the students in Grade 1 are. First-grade teachers look forward to seeing their students show more and more kindness throughout the coming semester.
