High School Biology Department: Department Meeting

On February 19th, 2021, the first high school Biology department meeting was held at Room 310 of the Xianmian Building. At the beginning of the meeting, the department head Ms. Gu explained updates in biology course curriculum starting from the next school year. According to the updates, teachers brought up their questions and had discussions with others. Then, Ms. Gu mentioned a few recent trainings and competitions and reminded teachers who planned to participate to be prepared. The following parts of the meeting include arrangement for AP and A-level exams this semester, the process and assignments of Course Day, and dates as well as a preliminary plan for the coming Biology Week. At the end of the meeting, teachers discussed the process and outcome of the hybrid learning course which was carried out last semester. At last, teachers discussed with members in their lesson-preparation groups to plan for the new semester’s teaching for various biology courses. In summary, this meeting made teachers more clear about the future development in biology courses as well as what they needed to do in the new semester.
