"SHS Wind Ensemble" Performed "Ode to the Yangtze River" at the Art Festival

On December 30th, 2020, the SHS Wind Ensemble performed “Ode to the Yangtze River” at the 37th annual SHS Art Festival. In preparation for this performance, they perfected this piece through diligent practice.

On the day of the performance, as the first program, the boys, in suits and red ties, and the girls, with red bows, brought a wonderful performance to the audience under their conductor Mr. Li Xin.

"Ode to the Yangtze River" depicts the process of streams trickling down the snowy mountains and forming into the rolling Yangtze River which eventually roars into the sea. The whole song developed from a serene and distant aura and, eventually, accumulated into a majestic force, giving the Art Festival a memorable start.
