Pudong Campus Grade 4: Draw Comics about Work Ethic!

December 8, 2020

This semester, "GROW" is the core value acronym in the fourth grade Pudong campus. The four letters in "GROW" stand for 4 traits: Growth Mindset, Respect, Optimism, and Work Ethic, which are teachers’ expectations for 4th graders. Since the beginning of the semester, the students have been learning about the first three traits. They wrote down their own "GROW" goals for Growth Mindset, Respect, and Optimism. This week, they will focus on the last trait: Work Ethic. In P&B class on December 8th, the fourth graders used a "Work Ethic formula" to learn about the basic constituents of Work Ethics: productivity, quality, and persistence. During class time, the students discussed ways to improve their work ethic and reflected on their “Work Ethic level”. After learning about the theory, came the most fun part! With the guidance of homeroom teachers, the fourth graders each completed a comic strip showing their understanding of Work Ethic. What a meaningful class!
