Donation to Community Health Service Center by the Yao Club

On November 6, five representatives of the Yao community went to Bei Xin Jing Street Community Health Service Center to donate 2,160 masks and 400 medical gloves using the money earned from the recent Sports Meet club fair. Although not a big amount, the donation embodies the love and care of all SHSID students for everyone fighting against the pandemic. This is the second time that Yao visited Bei Xin Jing Street Community Health Service Center. The first time that they visited was still during the winter. They brought the doctors and nurses supplements like hamburgers and cushions then, but unfortunately, they weren’t able to have a good discussion with them because of the virus-control rules for hospitals at the time. This time, however, they were able to sit down and discuss further.

On November 20, representatives of Yao visited Bei Xin Jing Street Community Health Service Center again. A donation ceremony was held to thank the students and the contribution. After brief ceremonial pictures, the doctors told the representatives about the pandemic and the current situation in Shanghai. Future cooperation between the Health Service Center and SHSID’s Yao community are expected. The club hope to do its best to assist medical workers fighting against COVID-19. The hospital staff were very grateful and really appreciated the efforts of the club members who are picking up social responsibilities and helping their city to return to its normal ways.
