Middle School Chinese Department: The World and Literature Are Boundless—Literature and City Landmarks Project Exhibition
Literature is an important record of social experience and culture.Asanembodiment of beauty, theworld’s literature represents the art and wisdom of different nations, regions, and cultures. Similarly, city landmarks are also iconic representationsof theircity’sgeographic or natural features, culture, and beliefs. In recent days, the ingenious grade-seven students of SHSID have been working on creating postersthat feature literature and city landmarks together. Their work is now on display. Let us take a look!
From here, you will be overwhelmed by the world’s most recognizable architecture and scenic spots. The students’ work will take you not only to enjoy the beauty of West Lake exactly as is described in the verse “接天莲叶无穷碧,映日荷花别样红”, but also to visit Taipei 101, the Old Town Square in Prague, and the Moscow Kremlin. It feels like one minute you are looking up at the Statue of Liberty in the United States and the next you will be in France discovering the Eiffel Tower......
While students were “taking trips” to the spectacular landmarks and landscapes all over the world, they learned more about the history, culture, and literature of these cities and countries. We look forward to the next time when we can explore the world and literature together!
