Grades 11-12: Career Day

On the afternoon of November 11th, students in Grades 11 and 12 participated in a special Career Day event for their CAS activities. Each student had a large extent of freedom to choose two presentations on career introductions brought by SHSID students’ parents. This Career Day activity aimed to help students broaden their horizons so that they can make longer-term plans for their future.

Most of the lectures focused on science and technology, medicine, and business, as well as other professions, thus covering the interests and future career choices of many students. In this special time period of the pandemic, lectures were given online, and all the students gathered in various classrooms to watch the online streaming. The student participants all listened very carefully and some took a lot of notes about the knowledge gained and took the chance to communicate with the guests in the Q&A session.

Through this activity, students not only obtained a clearer understanding of various industries they are interested in, but also gained much valuable information for their own career planning in the future.
