Grade 10 Assembly：Speech Competition Introduction

OnOctober 20th, the 10th Grade students gathered in the Lecture Hall for their weekly Assembly. Ms. Gordon, one of the 10th Grade English teachers, came to introduce the writing and speech competition that was coming up soon.

She explained to the students the topic of the writing competition this year, which was to write a speech about something you believed everyone should care about. Jokingly suggesting that you could even write about why your own pet was worthy of everyone’s attention, Ms. Gordon aimed to show every student the flexibility of the topic and the importance of drawing attention to an issue one was concerned about.

The speech competition, which will be held in December of this year, has the exact same topic as the writing competition, and does not require any digital submissions. Ms. Gordon told the students they can simply register by telling their English teachers, encouraging everyone interested to participate.
