High School Chemistry Department: Professional Development Activities

On October 16th, 2020, all teachers from the Chemistry Department participated in the professional development training activities in Zhentao Building. Sun Hao, the leader of the Chemistry Department, first announced the work arrangement to prepare for the upcoming Mole Day and other teaching activities. Afterwards, Mr. Sun used the Oxford General Reading material "Philosophy of Science" as a reference material to analyze the philosophy of science and scientific methods for everyone. The use of vivid examples in the lecture triggered discussions and thoughts among the teachers. Through the training activities, teachers have a better understanding of the rich connotations of science as a whole, grasp the spiritual and cultural significance of science, take a more objective, fair, and peaceful attitude to perceive, reflect and discuss scientific issues.
