Grades 6-8: Sports Meet
This year’s Grade 6-8 Sports Meet was epic! On Oct 12th, we had our annual SHSID Sports Meet. However, this time, the school also invited Olympic shooting champion, Ms. Tao and Mr. Xu, the first Chinese to ever win an Olympic gold medal. In the morning, we had an awesome performance and some students even attended the shooting group competition.
Next, we had events like the 100, 400, and 800 meter runs, medicine ball, long jump, high jump, and many others. The students tried their best on these events, and some even broke the school record! In the afternoon, students participated in even more activities. The chosen ones had a chance to shoot with the world champions, and they won many gifts and signatures. Those students also had contests at last.As for the others, they also had many activities to participate. The students each had a card for stamps, and they ran around the campus to sites to experience different sports such as darts, baseball, and badminton. Students could also exchange the stamps they collected from each site for incredible gifts.
After all, this was a very memorable Sports Meet and the students are proud of themselves.
