Middle School Section: The Sports Meet Rehearsal

On October 9th, middle school students started the magnificent Sports Meet marching rehearsal. Each class lined up in a 5 x 5 square and marched through the football field. “One, two, three, go!” shouted Mr. Shen, and at this order we raised our cardboard squares over our heads when, due to the bright sunlight, the field suddenly transformed into a dazzling yellow sea of grass.

Mr. Shen beat the drum three times.We then quickly flipped our cardboard squares, forming the symbol of each class.

Last but not least, a group of teachers handed the “Sports Meet” ribbons out to our formation. The direct sunlight beat down on the field and there was sweat down our cheeks, but we were still fully paying attention, trying not to make one single mistake. When Mr. Shen announced the end of the rehearsal, everyone smiled—we were all looking forward to the Sports Meet opening!
