High School Biology Department: Achievements in the Evirothon China Final

August 25, 2020

From August 17th to 20th, two teams comprised of ten students from SHSID attended the Envirothon China final competition in Shanghai. They achieved excellent results after three days’ intense competition.

Envirothon is the world’s largest environmentally themed academic competition for high school students, aiming to encourage students to learn scientific knowledge and skills and to build the idea of social responsibility. During this competition, every five-person team takes objective tests on topics of soil, forestry, aquatics, and wildlife and is given a case of water resource management to study and analyze.

After lengthy preparation, intense test taking, and detailed case analysis, the two teams received outstanding results of national first place in Group A and national second place in Group B. Congratulations to all these students for maintaining SHSID’s success in Envirothon! Hope that the new class of students will continue to work hard and to achieve excellence.
