Grade 8: Students Achieved Excellent Results in the International Junior Science Olympiad

On the morning of July 10th, the organizer of IJSO China rounds, ITCCC, released the final results of the first round. IJSO is the abbreviation for the International Junior Science Olympiad. It includes three subjects in total, which are biology, chemistry, and physics. There are more than fifty countries and regions participating in this competition. This test SHSID just took was the first round in China, and ones who manage to pass the first round could participate in the final election in China and might even have a chance to compete with international scholars.

Due to the COVID-19 outbreak, the competition was finally held online on June 20, 2020. SHSID students have achieved a lot. There are two students who got individual second prizes and four students who got individual third prizes. The three groups have earned two second prizes and one third prize. Totally, seven students managed to break into the final round in China. This result was beyond expectations yet reasonable; after months of hard work, students got the excellent results they deserved.
