High School Biology Department: Achievements in the USA Biology Olympiad

The results of the USA Biology Olympiad were recently released. Thirty-three students from Shanghai High School International Division took part in the USA Biology Olympiad that was held online this April. Compared to last year, SHSID has more gold and silver winners, and the gold winners are from all grades of high school. There are 21 students in total who have received awards: 7 students won gold medals, 8 won silver medals, 4 won bronze medals and 2 won regional honorable awards. The pandemic has not decreased the students’ passion for learning and their thirst for knowledge. Congratulations to them all! Thanks to all the biology teachers for their excellent daily teaching as well as the Biology Olympiad Club’s instructor and the assistant, Sue from grade 12, for their dedication in helping students prepare for the competition.
