High School Biology Department: Achievements in the British Biology Olympiad

The results of the British Biology Olympiad were recently released. Thirty-seven students from SHSID took part in this year’s British Biology Olympiad, which was held online on April 19. This marks the first year that a 9th grader earned a gold medal, and compared to last year, there is a pronounced increase in the proportion of students who earned awards. There are 26 students in total who have achieved global awards: 4 students got gold medals, 3 got silver medals, 5 got bronze medals, 11 got highly commended awards, and 3 got commended awards. Congratulations to them all! We thank all of the biology teachers for their excellent daily teaching as well as the instructor of the Biology Olympiad Club and the assistant, Sue from grade 12, for their dedication in helping students prepare for the competition!
