High School Economics Department: Marketing Strategies Presentation

May 6, 2020

In the Business Management class on April 30th, Grade 11 students presented marketing strategies for their own businesses. In their previous classes, students worked to create their own businesses in order to simulate the process of starting up a new business. They worked in groups of 4, and each student acted as a founder of their firm. This time, they decided the marketing strategies for their firms and presented their plans to the “potential investors”. They designed beautiful posters and analyzed strategies based on the 4P model marketing theory. This involved analyzing each of the 4Ps, including product, price, promotion and place. Some groups even designed their own website so that consumers could buy their product online by browsing the product details and get customized services. After the presentation, the other students acted as “potential investors” to vote and decide whether to invest in this firm or not. Through this form of presentation, students are able to understand abstract theories by applying them to their "own businesses", which will also help them better understand business management in the real world.
