Pudong Campus Grades 1–3: Dance with Teachers
During these home-based e-learning days, LinkedClassroom is the website that we use most frequently. Protecting students’ eyesight is always a big concern for parents and teachers. In order to create a period of online recess to help the students relax their bodies and protect their eyesight, Ms. Liu, the director of Pudong campus, planned a special section on LC called “Brain Break: Dance with Yuki”.
In this section, Ms. Yuki records a video that is around 2 minutes long and teaches the students how to dance in front of the screen. To keep the dance fresh and entertaining every week, she always prepares different content and adds some new elements in the dance, like Jazz, Hip-Hop, and so on. This way, students can experience different types of dance each week. Also, to encourage all of the students to join in this online dance party, a lot of other teachers have made appearances in the video and danced with their students, too!
This section has been updated every day on the LinkedClassroom from March 11th. It gives the students a lot of joy and happiness. It’s not hard to see that from these photos and videos—the students and their families always have happy faces when they are dancing. In this special time, although the teachers can’t meet the students in person, they try to offer as many fun events as they can, and the students also share their happiness with their teachers. We hope this daily online dance session can be a good reminder of the fun we have together until the day we can dance in the classroom again.
