SHSID Xingyu Volunteers Participating in 2020 Xingyu Spring Festival Gala

On January 15th, 2020, the SHSID Xingyu Kindergarten Volunteers, along with Xingyu teachers, parents, and children as well as various officials joined together for the 2020 Chinese New Year Celebration. Joy and passion filled the hall as the song "My Motherland and Me" was sung by Xingyu alumni to honor the journey, making volunteers think back to their memories with the Xingyu children and their duties and achievements of the past semester.

During the gala, two volunteers performed several magic tricks for the Xingyu students, winning much applause from the audience. The children were intrigued by the performance, curiously volunteering to "cast spells" for the magic show. Next, the volunteers hosted a dance performance with the children themselves. With light-hearted music, they performed with great teamwork, cooperation and care. As the performance reached its end, they helped organize the lottery activities. Throughout the lucky-draws, the Xingyu students were excited to participate in their activities.

After the carnival, SHSIDers helped clean up the venue with the kindergarten teachers, and the hall returned to its calm state. In the upcoming year, SHSID volunteers hope to continue their service to the Xingyu community as a whole and to pass on the SHSID volunteer spirit.
