Pudong Grade 3: Science Experiment with Dow

On the afternoon of Dec. 5th, the students at Pudong campus explored the world of science with scientists from Dow Corporation.

Before they began, the scientists introduced safety matters that needed attention. All the students listened attentively. During the experiment, the scientists encouraged the students to observe the changes that occurred in the materials. The students watched the bassanite powder change when they added different ratios of water. The students observed and recorded their observations carefully, then they shared their findings and feelings passionately with their peers and teachers.

The scientists said that every scientist knows “magic,” but this “magic” can be explained and demonstrated by scientific methods. The students did not only have an enjoyable time in the afternoon, but also learned very crucial knowledge that will be beneficial for them in the future.
