Grade 4: Story Mom – Someday a Tree

In the personal growth class on November 21st, the fourth-grade students once again welcomed the story moms. This time the moms brought a story about environmental protection –Someday a Tree.

The story begins in a peaceful atmosphere. Alice's father and mother became attached under a beautiful tree and settled there. Alice also spent a lot of time under the tree and was proud of the pleasant living environment there. One day, the tree suddenly fell ill, and people tried various methods to cure it, but failed.

The open-ended story sparked a heated discussion among the children. Why was the tree sick? Who made the tree sick? The discussion gradually moved towards the theme of “environmental protection”. Our unintentional actions may cause unexpected damage to the natural environment.

After the discussion, the children started a garbage classification game. They all had a deeper understanding of the importance of garbage classification and their responsibility to the environment after the story.
