Grade 1-3: Reading Buddies

November is the Reading Month for all the students in SHSID primary section. On the Personal Growth class of November 20, the first and third graders got together for reading buddies to read their favorite books to each other.

Our third graders were very patient and enthusiastic with the first graders and tried to explain everything in the book that the first graders couldn’t understand. The third graders also surprised those pals by reading in English or Chinese very fluently.

For grade 2, all seven classes were divided into seven color teams by lottery. They break the boundaries of the class and become a reading buddies with each other. They read and play games together.

All the children enjoyed the reading time that they had. They also made new friends by reading together!
