November 6, 2019

On the mornings of October 25th and November 1st, two junior project groups—focusing on developing awareness and knowledge of sustainable development—introduced their achievements and progress in the last yearto the senior class.

Group YING talked about several reasons to think of a solution as a building and introduced the logo inspired from the theme “Ying Tower”. They came up with solutions through economical, biological, and psychological approaches. Their solutions to the problem were specifically highlighted in the thoughtful design of the building.

Group ONE discussed the four distinct parts of their project. The first two were the research and planning phases. In the third phrase, spreading awareness, they gave lectures about how to sort trash to faculty members and the ninth and tenth grades. For the fourth phase, they designed a poster using photos of items students commonly encounter and will need to sort, like ice cream sticks and soda cans.

In the end, the students shared how through the project they increased their understanding of the importance of protecting the environment.
