Grade 9-10: Performance at Nursing Home and Nursery Home by Voices from Beyond Club

On October 25th, Voices from Beyond, a club from Shanghai High School International Division went to a nursing home in the Xuhui District to perform. Prior to this, Voices from Beyond had performed in other nursing homes as well as venues to raise money for charity.

During the hour-long performance, the students performed songs familiar to the elders, such as "Ye Lai Xiang," which brought youthful energy to the nursing home. The elders gave the performers warm applause, and the students and the elders expressed their thanks to each other. The students promised that they will return to see the grandparents.

All the members of the group were happy to perform in the nursing home, and they hope to take the performance to more places in the future to spread the joy of music.

On October 26th, Voices from Beyond went to the Shanghai Guangci Nursery home to perform and visit the kids. The children who are staying there were all abandoned by their parents because of their physical disability, but they have overcome their conditions and live courageously.

Each member brought their best performances for the children. The members and the children sat together, taught and learned singing skills, sang and interacted together, and chatted about life.

The students from Voices from Beyond shared their passion for music with the kids, and they promised to see each other in the future.
