A Glimpse of the Yu Yin Club and Kunqu Opera Club in Junior High School

In order to promote the inheritance of Kunqu Opera and Peking Opera, and let students experience the charm of traditional Chinese culture, the junior high school section established the Yu Yin society and Kunqu Opera society.

The Yu Yin society cooperates with Wang Peiyu, a famous Peking Opera actor, and puts on classes delivered by a professional Peking Opera teachers. Kunqu Opera society’s classes are taught once a week by a teacher from Shanghai Kunqu Opera Troupe, mainly for students in grades 5-7.

At present, the Yu Yin society is actively preparing the program "Selling Water", and the Kunqu Opera society is preparing "Peony Pavilion · Dream Seeking". At the opening ceremony of the sports meet, students from the Yu Yin society also prepared a performance of Peking Opera. We are looking forward to their performances on stage in the upcoming school Drama Festival and Art Festival.
