8th Grade Basketball Competition

During the past week, the 8thgrade basketball competitions were held. Each class had three students form a team and battle the other classes. The competitions took place during PE class or YD class. In the finals, class 1 (Matthew, Jonathan, Leon) prevailed over class 10 (Jason, Leon, Leo), winning the title of champions. Jason from class 10 put up an excellent show, scoring more than 5 three-point shots. It was a close battle between the two titans on each team: Matthew from class 1 and Jason from class 10. After the finals, there was a very interesting game between the students and the teachers. Mr. Gomez and Mr. Dane on the teachers’ side scored many points, but the other teachers did an equally fabulous job. Jason 8(10) and Douglas 8(4) scored many points for the students. The teachers won after all, as they are taller, faster, and stronger. Looking to future events, the soccer competition will provide another opportunity for students to display teamwork, athleticism, and personal development.
