Grade 11 Assembly: WYEF Experience Sharing

October 15, 2019

On October 10th, Emilie from 11(3) gave a speech at the recent G11 assembly about the World Youth Economics Forum (WYEF). She shared her experience as an assistant director at this four-day conference.

Emilie specified that WYEF is operated under the Global Undergraduate Economics Forum hosted by Yale University and that the forum is a great opportunity for students who are interested in studying economics in the future. There are abundant chances to communicate with college students at the event, and WYEF works in a similar way as the Model United Nations conferences, which enhance contestants’ public speaking and critical thinking skills on evaluating world issues.

Overall, Emilie said that the World Youth Economics Forum is a valuable and enjoyable experience that is also educational.
