Grade 11: IB Drama CAS Class Starts This Month

On the afternoon of October 9th, after returning to school from the National Day holiday, the IB students' CAS course began. As a core course of IB, CAS aims to allow students to build interests and skills in aspects outside of their academic studies. This year, the school has a new course: drama. This course is taught by two professional drama teachers, and they’ve offered a new experience to our students.

After the warm-up activities, more than fifty IB students in attendance were divided into two groups for improvisation drama practice. All of the students were divided into pairs, each acting a different role in an assigned scene. The teacher gave some basic rules for drama， for example, actors must not turn their backs on the audience, and they should accept everything told by their partners during the performance.

Many of these small acting activities were unanticipated and students burst into laughter from the amount of fun they had. All of them have benefited a lot from the experience of this new drama course.
