Grade 10: Assembly – Introduction about FTC

On the morning of September 25, 2019, tenth grade students gathered in the lecture hall in the basement of the ZhenTao building, following the weekly Wednesday assembly. Ms. Yu Zhen invited David, a student from Grade 10, to announce and explain the FTC competition, hoping to expand the Shanghai High School International Division team.

According to David, the FTC is a competition initiated by FIRST (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology) with the goal to stimulate students' potential in engineering and technology. Students will combine the design, construction, programming and other aspects of the competition to build and run a robot. Honor and reputation are not the only achievements of this competition, the result of the competition will also contribute to the participants' future learning. We are hoping more students will join the FTC competition and achieve good results this year.
