Grade 11 - 12: ASB Election Successfully Held
For the second CAS of the new semester, grades 11 and 12 held their ASB elections in the Annex auditorium of the Xianmian Building. Students bustled into the auditorium and settled down quickly with voting ballots in hand, while the twenty-eight ASB candidates took their seats onstage. The election began as soon as everyone was seated, and the first ASB candidate stood up to give her election speech.

The ASB candidates had a limited amount of time for their speeches, so all of the candidates were quite creative in the way they present themselves within the time limit. Some students stuck to the classic formula of giving a brief self-introduction and then explaining their aspirations for the ASB events if they got elected. There was also a fair number of fresh faces among the candidates this year. For such candidates, they decided to emphasize the change they hope they can bring to the school community. They shared funny anecdotes and read witty poetry, demonstrating their unique personalities. One candidate made a dubbing of a childhood favorite cartoon, Dora the Explorer, while another edited a short, fun clip demonstrating many of her experiences.

After all of the candidates delivered their election speeches, all the candidates entertained the audience with performances to boost their popularity among the crowd even further. With this segment of the election, the audience really got to see the creative and fun qualities of the ASB candidates.

As the final bell of school rang, the ASB elections came to a close as the students filed out of auditorium and handed in their final decisions for their preferred ASB candidates. The final list of new ASB members has came into effect after the public announcement, and the members have already actively invested in the new semester.
