Puxi Grade 4: Story Mom--Six-Dinner Sid

September 26, 2019

During the PG class on September 26th, the Story Moms came to the fourth grade to read a fantasy story called Six-Dinner Sid by Inga Moore.

The story is based on a cat named Sid who lives on Aristotle Street. Sid lives with six families so he can have six dinners. But the people on Aristotle Street don't talk with each other, so each family thinks they are the only owner of Sid.

Sid didn’t feel tired after playing with the six families because he was eating six dinners. One day, the veterinarian found out this secret because Sid got sick and ate six spoons of medicine. The six owners were angry and thought that Sid could only eat one dinner. So Sid moved to Pythagoras Street and lived with six families as well, where people talked with each other, so everyone here knew that Sid had six dinners a day.

After the story, the story moms asked a question: If you were Sid, which street would you choose to live on? The students made their own choices and shared the reasons for them.

No matter what choices we make in our life, there will be gains and losses. The fourth-grade students genuinely enjoyed the story and look forward to more stories brought by our Story Moms!
