Grade 10: Assembly - Duke of Edinburgh Award

September 24, 2019

During an Assembly on September 17th, all Grade 10 students were introduced to the Duke of Edinburgh International Award by three students who participated in the competition last year.

The Duke of Edinburgh International Award is an achievement for young people aged 14 to 24, held in more than 140 countries and regions, with at least 8 million of the world's leading young talents applying. Contestants compete for gold, silver, and bronze in four categories: professional skills, volunteerism, sports and entertainment, and adventure.

The three students who applied for the bronze prize this year shared their experiences in the adventure category during their summer vacation, such as learning how to survive in the wild; using compasses; and carrying things without communication, subsidies, and navigation.

Now that all of the students are informed about the new round of the competition, we hope this year’s competitors will achieve good results!
