8th Grade ASB Election
In the past few weeks, posters have been hung up across the billboards of the Zhen Tao building promoting ASB candidates in 8th, 9th, and 10th grade. The posters were in many formats: some were 3-D, some were printed, and some were hand-drawn. Many of them were creative and included humorous photo-shopped pictures of the candidates. In the Youth Develop class on September 12th, the promotional videos the candidates spent hours working on were shown. This year’s videos were very engaging and entertaining. Although each video was only one minute long, they reflected the hours that went into them. The candidates used a variety of methods to get their messages across. Some used simple text, stating the reasons to vote for them; others used memes and movie clips to capture the audience’s attention. After the videos were shown, the students were given a moment to fill out their ballots. They were faced with the hard decision of choosing only eight individuals out of many equally qualified candidates. We sincerely hope that this year’s ASB will organize many fascinating activities and work together to make our school life even better. Good job, candidates!
