Pudong Campus Parents - School Activity: How to Inspire Initiative

On September 11th, the parents of SHSID Pudong campus welcomed Xinwen Huang, the founder of the Story Mom Organization. Ms. Huang gave a wonderful lecture to the parents of Grades 1 through 5 about how to help children build self-cognition and a positive self-image.

Helping children develop a positive self-image is not only crucial in education, but indispensable towards inspiring initiative and internal motivation. While academic development is incredibly important, Parents should prioritize enriching their child’s personal and mental development as this will shape the rest of their lives.

As an extraordinary educational institute, SHSID is devoted to building strong connections with parents to establish a healthy environment for our students to learn and grow in. Every semester, SHSID Pudong campus promotes core values our students should demonstrate, such as integrity, commitment, an understanding that failure leads to success, and to always speak with good purpose. Overall personality development can encourage the students to foster bright minds and proper goals.
