High School Economics Department: Department Meeting

In the morning of Aug.30^th, the faculty’s meeting of Economics department was held by Ms. Zhang Li, the head of the department. This year, there are some major changes to the economics course system in high school. More discussions of the latest economic issues will be emphasized, and business will be added to the previous economics courses. Besides, students will be encouraged to participate in more competitions to make the most of their potentials and thus help them to find their interest. With the upcoming new courses, which will be a challenge to all the teachers, it requires the teachers to explore new teaching methods. Andrew, the foreign teacher in the group, tried to show a sample lesson in front of the teachers. He showed an Apple case with several questions related to encourage students to think and discuss. Then the rest of the teachers shared their ideas and gave their suggestions. After that, the teachers discussed the teaching plans for different classes, aiming to further enhancing the teaching quality and get ready for the new semester.
