Puxi 5th Grade: Alice in Wonderland Tea Party

The 5H English Class students had a Mad Tea Party right before the final to celebrate the students’ hard work this school year. The 5H English Class had been reading the book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland as the 2nd monthly and final exam reading. This activity allowed the students to dress up as characters in the story, for example, Alice, the Mad Hatter, or the Cheshire Cat.

The teachers, Ms. Larkin and Ms. Brittaney, decorated the setting and organized activities including the Caucus Race, Croquet, Pin the Grin, and a photo booth. They also brought cookies and bread with marmalade and dried mushroom, which are featured in the story. While the students enjoyed the Tea Party, they reviewed the book by finding text evidence as well.

It was a fun day to play and to learn before the final exam.
