The Last Story from Story Mom in Grade 2

In the Personal Growth Class on June 12th, all the second graders at SHSID welcomed their story moms for the last time this school year. This time they brought the second graders a world-famous story calledMiss Rumphiusby Barbara Cooney.

This was a very touching story about good wishes and hope for this lovely world. Miss Rumphius always remembered what her grandfather told her: do something that makes the world more beautiful. She spent her whole life spreading and planting pretty flowers wherever she went. When she became an old granny, she passed this wish onto her little granddaughter. This story made our students think about how they can make this world better and more beautiful.

Hopefully every second grader will be ready for third grade with the love and hope from all these great stories.
