Pudong Grade 1: Culture Poster

On June 10th, the grade 1 students at SHSID’s Pudong Campus presented their handmade posters on countries around the world. In grade one, students come from countries across the globe, including China, Malaysia, the Unites States of America, Canada, the United Kingdom and so on. After the students learned about how different cultures form the world village, they presented how different cultures affect the culture around us. Some of them shared interesting facts or spoke about the traditions of different countries, others mentioned famous celebrities in their country, and some students even presented the currency of that country. It was an extremely fun class to hear students introduce different cultures from their own perspectives. By launching this activity, students appreciated as well as understood other cultures better, creating a much more inclusive learning environment.
