Pudong Campus: Talent Show
On the morning of May 31st, the little artists of Pudong campus presented the long-awaited annual talent show, which also aligned with our celebration of Children’s Day.
Right at the beginning of this semester, students started to plan for the Talent Show. Some invited their friends to form groups, others chose to present solo performances. After decisions were made, they set out preparing their programs, aiming to get through the audition process. At the end of April, presiding by Ms. Sissy, the audition was successfully held and the final list was settled for the show. Everyone was ready to rock and roll!
Then came the showtime. As the performance commenced, cheers and applause resonated throughout the auditorium. Each year’s talent show presents splendid performances featuring different cultures. This year, plenty of Chinese characteristics were merged into many programs, which made this talent show stand out. To start things off, the winners of this year’s Chinese Poem Competition presented a beautiful poem recitation, then a solo performance of Guzheng, the elegant Chinese string instrument, shone the stage with rich traditional musical expression. As the show went further, a hilarious cross talk heated up the entire auditorium, which drew a big round of applause. During the show, the audience also got to enjoy lots of singing and dancing performances. A dancing group of seven girls impressed everyone with their graceful moves. One of our Friday clubs, the chorus club, sent the audience their best wishes for Children’s Day with their angelic and harmonious voices.
The amazing Talent Show came to an end amid a huge applause. Thanks to all the committed and versatile performers everyone enjoyed a fantastic Children’s Day. See you next year and Happy Children’s Day!
