Multicultural International Expo: Revisit the Classics, Inherit Different Cultures, and Embrace the Future

“To widely accept the essence of advanced education and to incorporate the spirit of different cultures” is the philosophy that made at the setting of Shanghai High School International Division. As an international school that has incorporated different cultures for years, SHSID proudly held another ‘Multicultural International Expo’ (MIX) on May 31st, following the huge success of first MIX Day event held in 2018. MIX aims to break the boundary and encourage intercultural and interdisciplinary collaboration.

The theme of 2019 MIX Week is to revisit the classics, inherit different cultures, and embrace the future. This year, there were a variety of different activities, including over 10 stage plays, traditional Chinese and multicultural experiences, English literature-themed classrooms, crossing the subjects from Chinese, English, History, World Languages, to Psychology, Drama, Sports, Art, etc.

One English Literature-themed Classroom

Students, faculties, and parents from SHSID as well as local students in other schools and one environmental protection organization in the community were invited to experience the full charm of MIX Day and the multicultural environment on campus. High School students could make full use of the day to experience and find the charm of SHSID MIX.
