May 28, 2019

The first High School Math Knockout at SHSID has successfully concluded, after two months of intensive competition. It was supervised by Teacher Liu Shan and organized by STEM Doge—a student association. The Grade 12 finals ended in early May, followed by the finals of the 9th, 10th, and 11th grades in late May, marking a perfect ending for the Pi-day events of this year.

In grade 9, the winners were Chloe Wang from 9(11), Anita Luo from 9(11), and Nina Li from 9(7). In grade 10, the winners were Stephanie Lee from 10(1), Yoona Kim from 10(10), and Sihyeon Lee from 10(6). In grade 11, the winners were Ellie Kim from 11(1)B, Helena Seo from 11(4), and Erica Kang from 11(1)B. In grade 12, we have the single winner, Alex Li from 12(4). Congratulations to all the winners and participants!

Thanks to the continued hard work of the members of "STEM Doge", and the active participation of all participants, we were able to enjoy the ordinary lunch break in a more exciting and mathematical way.
