SHSIDers Attend International Economics Olympiad

The International Economics Olympiad is an annual global competition for young people under 20 years old who love Economics. It aims to encourage young students to think about real-world problems in Economics, Finance, and Business and use creative ideas to solve these problems. In 2019, IEO was introduced in China. Two teams, consisting of ten G9-10 students, were selected to attend the China round of the IEO Final Competition on May 25-26 in Beijing. After taking paper exams and presenting their ideas about the given case studies, the team members, including Ka Chun Hong, Aaron Zhang, Jae Hyeon Lee, Andrew Tian-Yu Pei and Amemiya Yuki, won first prize; the other team members, including Chen Xiaorong, Jiayi Yue, CHOY HING YEE, Hanting Zhang, Zhining Zheng, won second prize. The China round of the competition is supported by Renmin University of China and School of Economics and Management in Tsinghua University. Congratulations to both teams!
