Make-A-Wish Foundation First Grade Donation

All of our first-grade students worked very hard to raise money during this semester’s Charity Fair. On May 16th, the Make-A-Wish Foundation came to our school during PG class to talk to the students and teachers as well as to collect the donation money. The entirety of the 40,000 RMB raised will be used to help sick children realize their dreams.

At first, Ms. Zhu Jie, Chairperson of the foundation, shared two stories about how the money raised from the first semester’s Charity Fair had helped make the wishes of two sick children come true. Many students asked questions about these children and showed real concern and compassion for their situations. Every class representative then put their class’ donation envelope inside the Wish Box, and both the students and staff gave their best wishes to Mrs. Zhu and the children the Make-A-Wish Foundation help.

Hopefully, all of our SHSID students will continue to support those less fortunate than themselves in future charity events and in their everyday lives.
