Fruitful Results from the High School Modeling Club

From Nov 2018 to Apr 2019, students from the high school modeling club at SHSID participated in the HiMCM and IMMC, two global mathematical modeling competitions, under the guidance of teachers Ms. Zhang Mingxin, Ms. Zhu Yating, and Ms. Wang Qian. From the combined efforts of both students and teachers, the results were very fruitful. This year, students achieved even better results than last year, with three teams of Finalists (top 10% in the world), two teams of Meritorious (top 25% in the world), and three teams of Honorable Mention (top 55% in the world) in the HiMCM. In the IMMC international round, there were two teams of Finalists (top 7% in the world) and four teams of Meritorious (top 17% in the world), while there were three teams of Finalists (top 9%) and six teams of Meritorious (top 30%) in the IMMC regional round. Congratulations!
