Puxi Grade 5:Chinese Speeches
On the afternoon of April 29th, the SHSID G5 Chinese Speeches on the topic, “China is so big and I want to have a look”, were held in the auditorium of the primary school. The speakers introduced fantastic Jiu Zhaigou, Xi'an’s cultural heritage, Hong Kong’s delicious food and Xinjiang’s dance, attracting a large audience. Shen Yushun started his speech by introducing the different scenery on the back of the RMB. He then discussed the Potala Palace on the back of 50 yuan, which caused a sensation in the audience. Wang Ziying shared the idea of going to Qinghai to do public welfare and told us that China is so big we should have a look.
The speakers on stage used simple language, humorous expressions, and sincere emotion in their speeches, which got thunderous applause from the audience. The speeches were accompanied by Ms. Zhuo’s interesting comments. At the end, the audience shared their feelings. One of the students said: "I think my Chinese language is very good, but after listening to today's speeches, I realize that I need to work hard. There is still a gap between the excellent students. Another student also said: "This speech helped me know more about the Uygur ethnic group in Xinjiang, the Potala Palace in Tibet, and “Tianyan” of Guizhou. China is really big, I have to go and see it."
The sharing of these speeches was wonderful and ended in much applause!
