The cheering crowd of students watched from one side of the pool as contestants from 9th and 10th grade gathered on the other side to warm up and listen to the music, inspiration, and coaching. Once the competition began, the contestants eagerly waited for their names to be called to their respective lanes. Upon hearing the signal, the students leaped into the pool, splashing their way to the other side. The spectators cheered even louder than before, almost covering the sound of the rapid splashes of water as the participants dashed through. At the end of each round, the contestants quickly rose out of the water for a large gasp of air and looked to the audience in triumph and pride.
