Pudong Grade 3: Chinese Culture Week

April 26, 2019

The third-grade students at Pudong campus finally welcomed the long-awaited Chinese Culture Week. Chinese Culture Week took place from April 22 to April 26. As one of our most important celebrations, Chinese culture week not only provides the students with great chances to learn about the extensive and profound culture of China, but also cultivates their interest in Chinese culture.

The third graders recited ancient Chinese poems using different Chinese dialects on Monday. The various dialects added fascinating rhymes to the poems. On Tuesday, the students went to Aurora Museum to explore the secrets of priceless treasures. During Wednesday’s Chinese class, they presented their poem recitations with drawings and background music made with Keynote and GarageBand. On Thursday, the Poetry Competition brought Chinese Culture Week to its exciting peak. Last but not least, during Friday’s Chinese class, the third graders dressed as their favorite Chinese poets to discuss their feelings about Chinese poetry.

Chinese Culture Week not only serves as a fun activity, but an inspiration that promotes student interest in Chinese culture.
