Grade 8: Voices from Beyond Service-Learning Charity Performance

On April 7^th, there was a special charity performance in Muling Theare, Minhang District. The money used to buy tickets will be donated to less fortunate kids. The performance included dancing, singing, musical instruments, and so on. All of the participants were fully devoted to the show and enjoyed the process a lot, as they had been preparing for it for a long time. At last, they performed the song “Shine Your Way”. Catie, the leader of Voices from Beyond, remarked, “Even though it was a new challenge, we all learned something from this wonderful performance. Most importantly, the audience was happy and satisfied.” The parents were very supportive and positive. They helped set up the stage and gave some wonderful advice. Joyce’s mom also captured the performance beautifully. This was really a once-in-a-life-time experience for all of the students, parents, and people who were involved!
