Grade 1-4: Successful Spring Charity Fair in SHSID

April 6, 2019

In the spring, the campus of SHSID is so beautiful with the purple flowers swaying in the spring breeze, like the cheerful mood of all of our students. On April 3rd, the teachers, students, and parents of SHSID primary section gathered again to welcome the highly expected event! In addition to the traditional booths, there were a lot of highlights and shining new ideas this year.

Made Donation By Themselves

Although our students are still young, they could also make their donations through their own efforts. Second graders made their masks and scarves with their own painting on them, which became one of the best sellers in charity fair.

Third graders held their own football game to raise funds. They even designed special charity trophies! Fourth grade girls set up their dessert shops and boys prepared questions about football knowledge. They really did a good job in preparing and participating in the charity fair!

New Era, New Ways

Parents also tried their best. This time, a variety of selling ways came about. Our charity fair became an OTO (Online to Offline) event. Grade three parents even set up make-up courses and basketball lesson periods. Grade one parents had WeChat shops to sell car washers, delicious food, toys and so on.

Combine Environment-Protection with Charity

This was the first year SHSID primary section brought in an organization from outside of the school to our charity fair. They brought interesting fun games to deliver new ideas about garbage classification and environment-protection knowledge to all of the kids and their parents. We hope that there will be more students and parents joining in the garbage protection project.

This was a successful and meaningful charity fair. We believed that all of the students would gain the ability of independent thinking and wider international horizon.
