Teacher Ping Yufang gave a lecture on Chinese Painting in the Sui and Tang Dynasties

On March 27th, 2019, Mrs. Ping Yufang, of the art department, was invited to give a lecture on "Chinese Painting in Sui, Tang, and Five Dynasties", organized by the SHS Labor Union. This lecture greatly benefited the faculty who participated. In her presentation of ancient Chinese figure paintings, landscape paintings, and flower-and-bird paintings, Mrs. Ping explained their inheritance, innovation, and even deficiencies. She also analyzed the historical and cultural information behind the paintings, including their background, aesthetic tendency, and the artists’ personal artistic characteristics. Mrs. Ping’s full preparation and lively lecture gave the audience a distinct impression of the Chinese paintings from the Sui, Tang, and Five Dynasties. It was very helpful for the teachers and staff to appreciate and understand ancient Chinese paintings.
