Puxi Grade 4：A Visit to STEP Electric Corporation

On the afternoon of March 28th, the fourth graders visited STEP Electric Corporation, which is an industrial inverter supplier with research, development, and manufacturing centers.

First, the fourth graders walked into a large auditorium to listen to a speech about robots and what they can do. Students also saw some GIFs and videos that showed robots working. After the speech, the students visited a model of an elevator. Through the visible structure and the employee’s explanation, the students learned the principle of the elevator lifting and how elevators work in our life. After visiting the elevator model, the students also experienced playing checkers with a robot. The one who first had five of their pieces in a row, column, or diagonally connected won the game. The students rushed to the challenge, but they all failed. Everyone could not help but praise how smart the robot is!

Every student enjoyed this visit very much. During this visit, we tried to open our students’ eyes to advanced science and technology.
